It all began with a sketch
Natalie began drawing aged six and has drawn most days since. Everything you see on this website began as one of her drawings, and has evolved into a carefully curated collection.
It was a sketch for a friend that prompted her to officially launch the business. In 2002, a tiny team working at her kitchen table made and packed orders. Over time, the studio evolved and today, Natalie Ryan Design is a globally distributed brand, with customers around the world.
While Natalie remains at the heart of every design, the business is supported by a carefully selected network of trusted production partners. Each shares the same commitment to quality, sustainability and craftsmanship, ensuring every piece is beautifully made, delivered with care.
Today, products are produced across the UK, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland and Australia, allowing orders to be fulfilled locally and arrive quickly, wherever you are in the world.

A note from Natalie
I’ve always believed that the places we love, the streets we walk, the views we return to, the buildings that hold our memories deserve to be captured and kept.
My favourite place in the world is a beach in West Cork, Ireland, and so, I have a watercolour sketch to remind me everyday. I started drawing places for friends and family, and began collecting travel notes in a sketch book, working on a more detailed pieces from there.
Over time, what started as drawing for the love of it has become a collection of places people hold close: homes, cities, wedding venues and moments that matter.
Every piece I create begins quietly, with a pencil and paper. It becomes a piece of art designed to sit beautifully in your space for years to come. Creating bespoke pieces has given me a glimpse in the tapestry of life, of others connections and cherished memories.
It’s a privilege to create work that becomes part of someone else’s story, whether that’s a gift, a memory, or something chosen just for yourself.

From the very beginning, my work has travelled far beyond the UK, finding homes around the world.
In 2019, I chose to evolve how each piece is made and delivered, partnering with a carefully selected network of expert print studios. The intention was simple: to reduce environmental impact without limiting access to my work.
Today, each piece is produced as close as possible to its final destination. This approach reduces emissions, avoids unnecessary customs delays, and ensures your artwork arrives quickly and seamlessly. Sustainability and ethical production sit at the heart of every decision, with a long-term commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.
